the spacious and private units provided us with a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. the friendly and accommodating staff, especially Cornelius and Daniël, went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met. the delicious meals served at every mealtime exceeded our expectations. the game viewing was exceptional, thanks to our knowledgeable ranger Phillip, who displayed true passion for nature and its creatures.
There were some maintenance issues in our room that required attention.

The meals were all good thanks. The accommodations overall were good, bed was comfortable. We really enjoyed the game drives, our guide was really knowledgeable about trees, grasses, birds, and animals.
The maintenance of the accommodations needs more attention to prevent them from "dating. " The flush mechanism in our toilet was not working properly, and the small safe in our unit was also not working properly.

The lodge was beautifully furnished with fully equipped cottages, making us feel right at home. The staff were incredibly friendly, especially in the restaurant, providing a personal and pleasant experience. The included game drives with experienced rangers were a highlight, allowing us to see a variety of wildlife in both the Black Rhino Game Reserve and Pilanesberg National Park.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a game lodge in a remote corner of a wildlife reserve. The lodge offered a small scale and exclusive experience, which was exactly what I was looking for. The main lodge area was beautifully designed, with a lovely pool and well-maintained grounds. The rooms were spacious and luxurious, complete with both indoor and outdoor showers. One of the highlights of my stay was the incredible passion and expertise of the rangers. Marcus, in particular, went above and beyond to ensure that our wildlife encounters were unforgettable. The location of the lodge was also a major plus, as it provided exclusive access to a large area of the reserve not accessible to other vehicles. The proximity to an animal drinking pool meant that we had some fantastic wildlife sightings right from the comfort of the lodge. I had an amazing time at this game lodge and would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a unique and memorable wildlife experience.

We got great value for our money at Black Rhino Game Lodge. The room was comfortable and well-designed. The location was perfect for a safari experience, surrounded by South African nature. The staff treated us with exceptional friendliness and attention.
Breakfast delights could have been improved with a wider variety of options.

The best aspects of our xmas stay were the stunning views from our room and the amazing afternoon game drives where we saw up-close encounters with animals like zebra, giraffe, rhino, and elephant. the lodge's location in the park allowed us to explore the beautiful surroundings and experience the thrill of being surrounded by wildlife. the friendly staff made our stay enjoyable, with their helpfulness and great service.
The worst aspects of our stay were the lack of vegan options in the meals. Despite a promising start with a vegan flapjack and platter, the rest of our stay offered limited choices for vegans, and we often ended up with just rice and undercooked vegetables.
Tourists from South Africa often stay at these properties. Ideas for your future trips.
